I just arrived home from camp elephant Friday 2nd August and wanted to give some additional feedback about my reps!
Hayley Wheelton was the greatest rep a camp could have asked for. She was fun and kind with absolutely everybody on the intake. She was proactive in spotting things that may have become an issue within the camp ahead of time and was able to address them before they became a problem. She was flexible and understanding when it came to making plans for our free days. Honestly, Hayley did not feel like a rep but just one of the gang and was not afraid to step up when it was needed. I could not say one negative thing about her, she was a joy to be around from the day we arrived
Ashley Webster is one of the most enthusiastic people I have ever met in my life, his light-hearted and fun-loving personality made it super easy for us to let our guard down and start making new friends. His use of fun team building games really turned a group of strangers into a cluster of life long friends. His passion and experience for teaching really made that portion of camp all the more rewarding because he had us so well prepared that even if every plan changed last minute, we were ready to handle it and still have a successful day teaching. We were heartbroken when he had to leave to look after another intake after just one week, but I’m glad another group got to benefit from his enthusiasm the same way we did.
Shannon Rose Kelly came into the group replacing Ashley so we were all a bit sceptical about her, she had big shoes to fill and we let her know about it, but she 100% rose to the challenge and quickly became part of the family. She was there for anybody who needed a chat or just vent about life in general. She was always ready to have a laugh and I honestly don’t think I saw her without a smile on her face for the entire time she was with us. She was always happy to answer any questions we would have and if she didn’t know the answer she would make it her business to find out and get back to you as soon as possible. She was a wizard with a camera and would often have it out capturing the memory before you could even look up from what you were doing to ask for it to be taken.
Our Thai rep Noi, I really don’t know where to start with Noi, she was the Mammy of the group, always looking out for our well-being. you could talk to every one of the 21 people on the intake and not one person would say anything less than amazing things about Noi. She made each and every one of us feel like family, always up for a laugh and yet if she felt that anything was off with you on any particular day, she would be the first person to put her arm around you and ask if you were alright.
I would like to say thank you to the entire Camp Thailand team for an amazing experience, but can honestly say without these AMAZING and WONDERFUL people repping for our group the experience would have been lacking. I’m truly going to miss each and every one of the reps mentioned here. any group lucky enough to get one of these reps is guaranteed to have an unforgettable time with camp Thailand.
Kind Regards,
Darragh Duggan
